Chapter 16: A Better Partner, the High Testosterone Woman (Part 1)
‘‘Just like in men, testosterone affects sexual arousal in women. Low testosterone can affect women’s sex lives in the following ways: Women may experience reduced sex drive or “libido”. Women may experience vaginal dryness, which causes painful intercourse. Women may experience a general lack of interest in sex.’’
- Doctor William L. White –
Women with higher levels of testosterone. I’m sure the very first thing that most men will imagine is a very masculine woman who is unattractive. In a lot of cases, however, they couldn’t be farther from the truth. First, women athletes have a higher level of testosterone than your typical woman, and the majority of these female athletes are gorgeous. They have a lean, toned body, a curvy figure, and a beautiful face. Just look at a women’s volleyball team if you want an excellent show.
Some of the most beautiful women on the planet are ‘‘high testosterone’’ (high T). But what else is great about a woman with higher T levels other than her looks?
The first perks are associated with sex drive.
Men typically have five to ten times the amount of testosterone than a woman. A healthy guy with optimal T levels will wake up every morning with a morning wood, and he will get several spontaneous random erections throughout out the day (both semi of full erections count). The random part means that he does not need to have dirty thoughts for his mojo to salute the high heavens. It just happens. That is what testosterone does. One of its functions is to prepare the body for mating, and it gets your blood flowing where it matters even without you realizing it.
Sometimes just seeing a woman will be enough to turn on a man. If you live with your girlfriend, you must have experienced the fact that everyday interactions are likely to trigger your lust. Talking, cuddling, or watching a movie while you hold her in your arms will probably give you a spontaneous erection at some point.
The same goes for women. A woman with higher T levels will experience the spark of lust more often than a typical lady. She may look at your shoulder, bicep, or ass and suddenly be tempted. She may listen to your manly voice and feel a flash of desire. You could kiss her without sexual intent, and she will get all tingly. Whatever turns her on, she will feel it more often. She may or may not initiate more sexual interaction, but she will have fewer resistances.
Also, she will get extra wet and experience more frequent orgasms. Testosterone is partially responsible for regulating the blood flow to the genitals, so a higher amount of this hormone means more blood flow to her intimate parts, which is directly linked to extra wetness, greater sensitivity, and enhanced pleasure. To summarize, a typical high-T woman will want sex more frequently and she will be easier to please.
Another perk is related to her beauty. Testosterone helps keep you lean and it keeps your muscle toned. For a lady, it means less body fat, firm breasts, and a curvy butt. Lastly, women with higher levels of T are generally better at decision-making, problem-solving, and are more proactive.
If you are looking for a long-term relationship, these are essential qualities for a reliable partner. With that said, how can you spot this type of woman? It’s actually pretty easy. If you are attentive, you can spot one with a single glance, and if you can’t, you should be able to discern it after a first date.
Ladies with higher androgen levels tend to have a square jawline and bigger hands. If you see a woman who has hands as large as a man’s, this may be a sign that her testosterone is higher than the typical girl.
Her having a square jawline may also be an indication that she has more testosterone than the average woman.
Next on the list is leanness. Being fat decreases overall testosterone levels by converting a portion of this hormone into estrogen. This process of transforming testosterone into estrogen is called aromatase, and it happens mainly in fatty tissues. This means the higher your body fat percentage is, the more aromatase your body is doing.
One of the main things you should look out for to determine a woman’s testosterone level is her leanness (body fat percentage). It is much more important to look a woman's general leanness than to look at her hands' length and jawline.
Beware of ‘‘skinny-fat’’ women. Woman with ‘‘seemingly’’ normal curves are not necessarily healthy and can have low testosterone levels. Women who are not obese and seem pretty average, but have little to no muscles mass, are not necessarily lean. A lot of people have a high body fat percentage even if they are skinny (the medical term used to describe this phenomenon is ‘‘normal weight obesity’’). A formula called body mass index (BMI) is often used to determine whether someone is at a healthy weight for his height. But BMI doesn't tell the whole story because it doesn't measure body fat. So a person may have a normal BMI while his body fat percentage is high enough to increase health risks.
Like obesity, normal weight obesity may increase your risk of serious health problems, including heart disease, diabetes, abnormal cholesterol, high blood pressure, and metabolic syndrome.
Women who are skinny-fat often have their shoulders leaning forward, which is bad for their posture. Their breasts are all soft and jelly-like and their arms are thin. They are all fat and no muscle. These women probably do not have a high sex drive, and if they do, it is artificially maintained with a roller-coaster lifestyle that super-stimulate their libido. For one example, a woman could frequently go out in clubs and bar and make herself desired by many suitors, and the fact that she is desired by so many men can turn her on tremendously. Pair this with alcohol and drug and you have a formula to super stimulate a woman’s libido. However, that type of sexual drive will quickly run dry in stable committed relationship.

Visually checking out a woman’s triceps and chest fat is an extra tool you can use to determine her androgen levels. The primary indicator for T levels is seen in the fat stored in the triceps, and the main visual cue for aromatase levels is observed in the fat found in the pectoral region for men or in the breasts for women. If you grab a woman’s breasts and it has the texture of gelatin and her fat spill from the space between your fingers, then she aromatizes a lot. On the contrary, if you touch her breast, and they are firm, and you can feel the muscle, then she is most certainly fine. As a side note, a man with ‘‘man-boobs’’ is aromatizing a lot and probably won’t be getting hard erections anytime soon. If this seems too complicated for you, simply look at the general leanness of the girl, and you will have a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Look at the girl’s triceps on the previous photo. You can see the muscle definition pretty well, which means that she has a healthy level of testosterone. Her breasts look firm and toned, which mean that she won’t be doing much aromatase. Other cues that can be spotted at a glance are the voice and the choice of clothing. Women with higher levels of T tend to wear utilitarian colors like black, white, and gray more often. They also tend to have a lower voice.
All in all, you should avoid a lady with fatty triceps, soft jelly-like breasts and a high percentage of body fat (beware of the skinny-fat), with small hands and a round jaw-line, with a high-pitched voice, and those who wear flashy and colorful clothes all the time. Did this description trigger the image of a whining, hormonal, emotional, nagging princess in your mind? If so, then you have the right picture of what a low-testosterone woman looks like.
It goes without saying that a woman with all the desirable traits mentioned above is rare. The important one, though, is the general leanness of your lady. If you can find multiple good qualities in a woman, but she always wears bright colors, then it’s not the end of the world. Keep an open mind and try to find the best combination of traits and you might have a chance to work out a balanced relationship.
Now, there are a whole bunch of other factors influencing testosterone that you can observe only after getting to know a woman better. They are mainly about her lifestyle and eating habits. I will review all these important things in the next chapter, and I will also address the epidemic of low testosterone in men and women.
Higher body fat is linked to an increase in aromatase:
